Hello and welcome! I'm Steffi, the founder of Noah.Meets.Scottie, and I'm so happy you're here. For many years I've been passionate about creating and making handmade dog collars and harnesses that are as unique as your dog. My journey began with a deep love for dogs and a desire to create something special for them. Each of my products is crafted with great care and dedication to be both beautiful and functional.
The inspiration for Noah.Meets.Scottie came from my own experience as a dog owner. In 2012, Noah came into my life. He was a six-month-old puppy who came from a family who no longer wanted him. Noah was a challenge from the start - very reactive and stubborn. But we've been through thick and thin together and built an unbreakable bond. Noah showed me the importance of accepting dogs as they are and understanding their individual needs. This experience sparked my passion for handmade dog accessories and remains at the heart of what I do to this day.
With every new design I develop and every material I choose, I think about the special bond between you and your dog. My handmade dog collars and harnesses are more than just accessories - they are an expression of this deep bond and my love for dogs. Each product tells a story and is designed to enrich your dog's life while highlighting his uniqueness.
In 2017, Scottie joined our family. Scottie is a former street dog from Romania who came to live with us when he was three years old. His journey from the streets of Romania to our home was remarkable. Despite his difficult past, he showed an incredible ability to adapt and a loving nature. Scottie was exactly what Noah needed to overcome or at least weaken his aversion to other dogs. With his relaxed, comfortable nature and his irrepressible love of food, Scottie brought a new dynamic to our lives. He is a real bon vivant and loves to rest in comfortable corners and take every opportunity to cuddle.
The name of my company "Noah.Meets.Scottie" is a tribute to the special relationship between Noah and Scottie. Noah was my only prince for years and had great difficulty accepting other dogs. Then Scottie came along and turned our lives upside down - in a positive way. Although they couldn't be more different, they managed to become a wonderful team. Noah, the independent and headstrong dog, and Scottie, the loving and relaxed buddy. Their friendship and the way they complemented each other is at the heart of my inspiration for the products I make. "Noah meets Scottie" symbolizes this wonderful encounter and the time when they came together to become a real team.
And now you may be wondering why Philipp is missing from the company name. At the time Noah.Meets.Scottie was launched, Philipp was not yet with us. Philipp came to us in 2022, a five-year-old fearful dog who, with his fearfulness and special sensitivity, has once again thrown our lives into disarray but also enriched them. Although he does not appear in the company name, Philipp will certainly be immortalized by name in our company in the future. His story and his progress inspire me every day and also contribute to the development of my products.
The deep bonds and unique experiences I have had with my dogs are the driving force behind every product I make. I know from my own experience how important it is that dog collars and harnesses are not only pretty, but also functional and comfortable.
